During the summer and fall of 2018, the City of Allegan, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), the Michigan Municipal League (MML) and various city and community leaders met to discuss and develop a vision for 101 Brady Street, more commonly known as the Corner Brady Street Lot on the Riverfront.  This is not the first time the City has looked at developing this lot.  In 2008, the City worked with Allegan Area Residents, the Wagners, to develop this site for a restaurant.  Unfortunately at that time, the economy took a turn for the worse and that development was never realized.

Working with the MEDC and the MML, the City was able to develop a request for proposal that highlighted that vision established by the community leaders and then we asked developers to submit proposals to develop that land.  The proposals were due February 6, 2018 and one proposal was submitted.  The City, through the Downtown Development Authority, the Economic Development Corporation and the City Council will evaluate the proposal and decide a way forward for this parcel.

The following upcoming public meetings will be held to discuss the future development of the 101 Brady Street Lot. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussions. All meetings will be held at the Griswold Auditorium, and representatvies from both the City and CL Real Estate will be present to provide information and answer questions.
