MDOT Roundabout Construction
PROJECT TRAFFIC ADVISORY, M-40/M-89, ALLEGAN COUNTY
Roundabout Construction on M-89 at M-40 is underway in the City of Allegan. The total project includes reconstructing the M-89 at M-40 intersection into a roundabout, resurfacing of M-89 between 2nd Street and 29thStreet, sidewalk reconstruction, as well as storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main work. Anticipated open to traffic date is August 23, 2024. The total project is anticipated to be done in November, 2024.

M-89 ACCESS
- EB/WB M-89 closed at M-40.
- Access to M-89 will be maintained via detour route.
M-40 ACCESS
- NB/SB M-40 closed at M-89.
- Access to M-40 will be maintained via detour route.
LOCAL ROADS ACCESS
- S. Cedar Street closed at M-40.
- Access to S. Cedar Street will be maintained via Maple Street and Linn Street
- Ely Street closed at M-89.
- Access to Ely Street will be maintained via Davis Street and Thomas Street.
- Hubbard Street closed at M-89.
- Access to Hubbard Street will be maintained via Walnut Street.
- Trowbridge Street closed at M-89.
- Access to Trowbridge Street will be maintained via Pine Street and Walnut Street.
