Through the years, the Allegan City Council has established various boards and committees to advise the City Council on certain city functions. Current board and committee vacancies can be found on each board/committee's page.

Airport Advisory Board
Meets the First Monday of Every Month at 5:30 p.m.
at Padgham Field Airport (740 Grand St, Allegan, MI 49010)


The Airport Advisory Board serves to help with the operation and oversight of the City of Allegan's Padgham Field Airport. 



Downtown Development Authority
Meets the Second Wednesday of Every Month at 8:00 a.m.
at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St, Allegan, MI 49010)


The Downtown Development Authority serves to promote economic growth and revitalization within Downtown Allegan.


Planning Commission
Meets the Third Monday of Every Month at 6:00 p.m.
at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St, Allegan, MI 49010)


The Planning Commission serves to make and adopt a master plan for the physical development of the City, and to make such revisions from time to time as conditions may require, including any areas outside of its boundaries which in the commission's judgement bear relation to the planning of the City. The Planning Commission also recommends zoning amendments and other land use changes to the City Council for their review. 


Positively Allegan 
Meets on the First Wednesday of Each Quarter at 5:15 p.m.
at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St, Allegan, MI 49010)


The Positively Allegan serves as a charitable corporation organized to operate and promote community events and opportunities.


Public Spaces Commission 
Meets the Second Wednesday of Every Month at 6:30 p.m.
at City Hall (231 Trowbridge St, Allegan, MI 49010)


The Public Spaces Commission serves to recommend and approve the design of public spaces and amenities contained within, including, but not limited to, parks, streets, sidewalks, and public right of ways.
