Notice of Election & Candidate Filing

General Municipal Election - Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Four (4) Four-Year Terms

Candidate Filings are due to the City Clerk no later than Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 4:00pm.

Candidate Qualifications Include:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Live within the Allegan City limits;
  • Must be registered to vote at their Allegan City residence address;
  • Must be a resident of the City for six (6) months immediately prior to the election;
  • Must obtain at least fifty (50), but no more than seventy-five (75) signatures of registered voters who reside within Allegan City limits and are registered to vote at their Allegan City address.
